What is the Designer and how can I make my own t-shirt at Creations By Reta specialty shop Create Your Own.

With the createyourown designer at creationsbyreta.com you can design and order your own t-shirts and other products from our product assortment in the designer. There is no minimum order: you're free to order just one, individually printed shirt or product of your choice.

  1. Choose a t-shirt from our selection. You don’t know which size you need? Find out by clicking on the small information mark next to the product name. Details of the weight and manufacturing can be found there as well.
  2. Choose a design. You can upload your own photography, or pick one out from our Designer under SHOP designs and OTHER designs.. To find out which designs you can upload to the  Designer see further information below this article.  However,  text designing can also be nice. Choose a font and write what you want. Change the color and style of your font in the designer.  Listed under colors should be a drop down and font print style are listed.  Plus text can be turned, mirrored or enlarged within the given print area.
  3. Once the t-shirt looks like you want, proceed to check out and order it.

Every personally designed article is an original: Your design will be placed on the t-shirt are product you have chosen according to your instructions. Since this action is not automated, it is possible that there could be minor alterations. Also, it's possible that the design will look smaller or larger in reality. This is because the t-shirt example shown is always a fixed size (often "medium", sometimes "small").

How do I create a pixel design (e.g. from a photo) that meets all requirements for digital printing?

Printing on Clothing and Mousepads

So that we can print your design on clothing and mousepads, your design (e.g. photo) must

  • be saved as .png, .jpg, .bmp, or .gif
  • have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi
  • maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels
  • and a maximum file size of 3 mb

The exact description of the printable area can be found in the product details. Be aware that the design size should fit the print area. Minimizing the design is always a possibility without losing picture quality, however, enlargements are not since the design will appear "pixelated".

Printing on Buttons

The mentioned requirements also apply for printing on buttons. The minimum graphic resolution should be no less than 400 dpi.

How do I convert a pixel design to a vector design for plot printing (Flex / Flock)?

Pixel designs cannot be used for plot printing. In order to do this, they must be converted into vector designs.

You can completely do this, or at least make good headway, with a conversion program such as CorelTrace.

In this type of a program it is possible to open the pixel design and vectorize it "along the curves".

This program automatically creates curves along the shape of the design. You can save this curve and edit it in a vector design program.

Note: In general converting photographs into a printable vector design is difficult and requires a lot of time and effort.

Thats where you can use vector and flex and plot designs added into the designer along with text to create your cool personal products.

When opening the designs in the designer after choosing a product to design.  Maybe only certain type designs can be added to it for designing.  In the designs sections only designs included in the designer that are added can be used on that product other than text personalization or one's that you upload to use yourself.

So there are many options available for creating your unique one of a kind designed product or products yourself.

Plus you can always go to our Feedback and Suggestions or contact creationsbyreta.com and submit a question and hopefully we can help.
